"She Did All That" in the ny times

6/12/2018

I am currently in rehearsal as Susan Ford for "She Did All That, Betty Ford: Speaking Out, Saving Lives" opening June 28th! Check out this article in the NY Times about the play featuring playwright and director Lisa Rafferty:  Q&A: Opioids Crisis Is Backdrop to New Play About Betty Ford

Staged Reading: Finish Line

4/19/2018

This past Tuesday, our fabulous cast performed in the one night only staged reading of Finish Line, following the rainiest 2018 Boston Marathon to date. I had the great pleasure of Assistant Directing this last rendition. I was thrilled as always to work with Joey Frangieh and Boston Theater Company and to hear new (and familiar) voices share this powerful story!

I am so grateful I got to participate in this wonderful table read last night with the rest of the cast and some of the all-female production team! Betty Ford: She Did All That is coming to Boston Playwright's Theatre this June-July.

UPDATES :)

Winter 2018:
I performed in The Best of MOMologues at the Greater Boston Stage Company this past February. What a delightful, hilarious, heart-warming show! It was like performing a rock concert for MOMS!

Fall 2017:
I completed a successful run as Robyn in Robyn is Happy with the Hub Theatre Company of Boston. Check out my interview with the Boston Irish Reporter: "A comical intervention by some critical friends"

Next up, I will be focusing on my important role to date. I am expecting my first child this April 2018.

Finish Line in the Boston Globe!

3/10/2017

Check out this article about "Finish Line" in the Boston Globe: "Bringing Marathon bombing stories to the stage in ‘Finish Line’" by Emily Sweeney

"Amie Lytle, a local actress who has been involved with “Finish Line” since the beginning, through early scripts and workshop productions, plays the role of Erika Brannock, a preschool teacher from Maryland who was at the finish line to cheer on her mother. Brannock spent more than seven weeks in the hospital and had to have one of her legs amputated. The actress is looking forward to meeting her at one of the Shubert performances. “She’s just a remarkable person,” Lytle says."

Check out our first review here: Debbie Forman, Cape Cod Times
"Amie Lytle is very fine as Shrand. As others speak, she makes silent comments with an array of comic facial expressions."
