I just found out I am playing Lady Macbeth and Juliet on the Shakespeare Now! tour this spring! It seems just too good to be true... "Romeo, Romeo...something wicked this way comes..." I can't wait! Shakespeare Now! Spring 2014 Tour Schedule :) This Spring, I will be touring with Shakespeare Now, a Boston based classical theater company. Incidentally, I am returning to the 3 plays I performed in high school: Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth. I am delighted to be playing Juliet for the second time! "My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep. The more I give to thee the more I have for both are infinite..." Macbeth hasn't been cast yet but I will also have the joy of playing Helena in Midsummer. What fun! ABOUT NOT JENNY. Jenny is paralyzed from the waist down. Her estranged sister, Not Jenny, returns to provide care. Running in December, this fast-paced dark comedy may not be a holiday show, but nevertheless asks timely questions about family, and about what it means to go home. *The line outside "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" on Saturday, September 28th... I am thrilled and honored to have been a part of this festival. It was such a joy to be surrounded by so many people who love theater! I am so deeply sad to see the show end but I know it is only the beginning for the "Pollitt family"! We couldn't have had a warmer welcome to Provincetown (see below.) The magic of Provincetown... If you let it, this special town can reward you in a hundred tiny ways. Stand and gaze at the harbor at sunrise; walk the breakwater at the Provincetown Inn; take a bike ride through the dunes at sunset; see plays you may never see again; spend time getting to know artists from all over the world, and make new friends; stroll the streets and see a New England fishing village with the soul of a happy misfit. If it's possible to have a bad time in P'town, I wouldn't know how. ***Our set designed by the brilliant John Malinowski. Tonight is your last chance to catch the CAT on the Julie Harris stage! This tuesday, we are heading to Provincetown for the Tennessee Williams Theater Festival. Get your tickets now...and watch out for Pollitt family tooling around Ptown on bikes! That's right...they are giving us bikes...Life is good :)
